The route for the 2014 Race Across America covers 3,000 linear miles with 170,000 feet of vertical climbing at elevations of up to 10,000 feet. It begins in California, winding across deserts, uphill through mountians, down steep hills and across flat plains.
It is a fast-as-you-can-go, first-team-there-wins competition. Team Intrepid Fallen Heroes expects to finish the race in approximately six days.
